Adam Lamprell

Adam has over 24 years experience teaching guitar, bass, and drums and playing professionally.

His students have included: Tom Chaplin (Keane); Dave Colquhoun (Rick Wakeman, Ian Brown); Max Taylor (Groove Armada, Mika); Couros Sheibani (Zayn Malik, Conor Maynard, Wretch 32, Angel); Jamie Perrett and Peter Perrett Jnr (Babyshambles, Strangefruit); Toby Boyle (Tina Turner, Spandau Ballet, Bjorn Again, Mica Paris) and Dave Rainger (Will Young, Geri Halliwell) amongst others.

Adam is also a successful songwriter, having had three albums released worldwide as the main artist/writer (2 with The Scissormen and 1 with Kerrang-Award-nominated Skyscraper).

He has also co-written tracks on Joey Tempest’s self-titled album which was a hit (top 15) in over 15 countries as well as having co-written the song “Election Day” from Europe’s 2017 LP “Walk the Earth”.

Adam has also written with with The Bombay Dub Orchestra, Chris Difford, Gary Go, Tara McDonald and James Sanger (producer with U2, Dido, Keane, KD Lang etc). He has also recorded with: Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, Marcus Miller, Freddie McGregor, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Andy Newmark, Andy Gangadeen, Sly & Robbie, Alison Goldfrapp amongst others as well as working on theme music for the BBC (the BBC 2 series “Nurse”), and for the Oscar nominated movie “Saving Grace”.

Adam currently teaches at The Harrodian School, London and King Edward VI School, Southampton and previous posts include running adult education songwriting and performance workshops for The Studio in Beckenham, London and Forest Hill School, London (6 years teaching guitar, drums, performance skills and songwriting to bands).
