Nick Lindsay

Nick Lindsay is a guitarist with a wealth of experience of playing and teaching across a range of genres, having spent the last 20 years both teaching in FE colleges and playing on the function band circuit.

Patient and approachable, Nick has a teaching style which stems from the mantra, “You don’t learn by getting things right”. Whether you aspire to play pop, rock, folk, jazz or anything in between, Nick will ensure you have the tools, theory and techniques to help you make fast but incremental improvements to your playing, all whilst making music that you will enjoy playing, and your friends and family will enjoy hearing.

After completing a HND in Music at Bournemouth & Poole College, Nick moved to Buckinghamshire to teach music performance at Amersham & Wycombe College, where he implemented a range of modernisations and improvements to the course. This included working with Roland UK and the BBC to provide work experience opportunities to his students, as well as teaching a wide range of performance, theory and industry skills.

Alongside all this, Nick also found time to work as a function band guitarist and singer for The Coolbeans, until becoming a lead musician and area producer for Blue Lion Band. He is also a DJ with several years of experience, a music producer and recording / live sound engineer.
