Whilst, for many, it’s still too early to mention Christmas, we are making plans for some festive workshops and activities and will be in touch again soon with details once they are all confirmed

Lists Lost & Found by Kyleigh Orlebar
This new exhibition is all about the list. We all write them, whether helping us to order our lives through the eternal “To Do” list or the simple shopping list, but every list is personal and reveals something about the creator. The artist Kyleigh Orlebar has been foraging for them for the last 14 years, collecting the lost and found, the private and the public, keeping them safe like treasures and a pondering the worlds of all who’ve written them. Her new exhibition reveals her favourites and invites you to contribute to the collection.
Heading towards the festive season, with our own lists are in full flow, Kyleigh’s new exhibition reveals her favourites and offers an invitation to ‘post’ your lists to contribute to the collection. We are also looking forward to exploring the ways you might make a list and celebrate yours in creative workshops.

MUSIC
CODA IN THE COMMUNITY
Huge thanks to Max Elmore, one of Coda's talented students, who played in September as part of our residency at Bournemouth Hospital's Dementia ward. Max performed a selection of music for the patients, staff and visitors of wards 4 & 5 to enjoy. We had a full house, with all the patients ready and waiting for us to play and Max was a huge hit, taking many requests.
Everyone on the ward really enjoyed and appreciated the experience and we received so many comments of thanks and enjoyment from patients and family members. Everyone joined in to become the percussion section and we were told how some of the patients even used to be in bands themselves.
The nurses on the ward told us that the positive atmosphere and mood of the patients lasts for many hours after the sessions have finished, with patients being much more animated and conversational.
ARE YOU A KEYBOARD PLAYER? RUSTY ROCKERS NEED YOU!
Coda Rusty Rockers is a relaxed, friendly and supportive jam session, for over 50s, led by Stuart Jebbitt. The group is currently at capacity, but a space has recently opened up (specifically) for a keyboard player.
Any keyboard player interested in joining the sessions would need to be at least ‘busker’ level (know basic major, minor and 7th chord shapes).
Sessions run on Tuesdays 1.30 – 3pm and are £7 per session (paid termly).
These fun ‘turn up and jam’ sessions are a great, social way to make music and learn songs as a group.
If you are a keyboard player who may be interested in joining the Rusty Rockers, please get in touch:

SINGING MAMAS
Wednesdays 10.30am - 12pm
£8 per session
Singing Mamas would love to recruit more mums with bumps and new mums with babies too!
Singing together is clinically proven to improve wellbeing and treat postnatal depression and anxiety. Singing Mamas offers a welcoming singing circle sharing beautiful, simple songs from around the world, taught by ear.
As children we sing freely and joyfully, but many voices get shushed or told they're not good enough. Singing becomes scary and we forget how to do it. Well, this is your invitation to find your voice again. Shy singers, loud singers, all welcome. No experience needed and no wrong notes!
If you would like to know more or book a place, contact elaine.cullinane@gmail.com
or visit www.singingmamas.org
We’ll have details of more creative activities for November and December very soon, including festive workshops in the run up to Christmas.
