Beautiful Sounds
Beautiful Sounds is a weekly music workshops for adults with learning difficulties on a
Monday 10.30am – 12.00pm (at Coda Music Centre)
Tuesday 10.30am – 12.00pm (at Coda Music Centre) and
Thursday 10.30am – 12.00pm (at Hordle Pavilion)
These sessions, run by music leaders Stuart Jebbitt & Chris Hopgood are a fun and sociable opportunity to play a range of instruments, sing, write and record songs. Each session incorporates simple musical games and songs to encourage participation and includes plenty of opportunity to play and sing along with your favourite pop and rock songs, from Abba and Adele to Queen and Elvis. We have a range of instruments on hand and often set up a mini recording studio to capture the songs we write.
From September 2022, our Monday Beautiful Sounds sessions will be hosted by Chris Hopgood. These sessions, led by Chris, will be slightly quieter, more acoustic workshops.
Monday sessions with Chris will offer an opportunity to explore different music and instruments for self expression and may be beneficial for those who find our regular Beautiful Sounds sessions just a bit too overwhelming.
Our Tuesday and Thursday Beautiful Sounds sessions will continue to be led by Stuart Jebbitt and will be the regular lively, entertaining sing-alongs that you will be used to.
We are inviting our Monday regulars to swap to a Tuesday or Thursday (or vice versa) to ensure everyone is attending a session which suits them best. Please get in touch to let us know if you would like to change your Beautiful Sounds session.
Spaces are limited for all of our Beautiful Sounds sessions, so we do need to know if you plan to move sessions or would like to give a different one a try.
Please refer to Coda’s Code of Conduct for group sessions: Coda Code of Conduct policy for Group Programmes
