Coda Blues Orchestra

Mondays 7.30pm-9.30pm
at Coda Music Centre
£8 PAYG
Led by Chris Hopgood

A guided jam session playing blues classics.

The Coda Blues Orchestra is a chance to explore some of the greatest blues music ever written in a brand new way for those who want to improve their improvisation skills.

Each week you will have the chance to play through a set of classic blues tracks from the likes of John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Albert King and many more, with the emphasis on improvising over the chord sequences.

Think of it as a guided jam session – but no previous improvisation experience is necessary.

Any lead instrument is welcome to join, including Bass, Guitar, Harmonica, Brass, Fiddle (if playing an acoustic instrument other than brass, then you will want to make sure it is able to be plugged in).

You also have the opportunity to access extra material for the songs, including tabs, explanations and video lessons on improvisation at www.patreon.com/chrishopgoodmusic

If you are interested in joining our Blues Orchestra, please contact the Coda office on
