SURVEY
Thank you to everyone who completed our reopening survey in last week’s update. We will be taking a look at the results with interest and they will help inform our plans regarding both online tuition and timescales for a future phased reopening.
We are discussing lots of ideas with tutors and group leaders for delivering tuition and ensembles online and we will be in touch as and when the details are confirmed.

It was so lovely to see our friends again and enjoy their soulful sounds – and it raised an incredible £280 for Coda!

This Friday 29th May, we are excited to welcome our friends Megan & Ruth of Scuttleshake, who will be performing for us.
Megan and Ruth are one half of the south west based band Scuttleshake, who will be performing a Facebook live gig for Coda.
In their own words, Scuttleshake are “four women, singing, harmonising, picking and playing the fool… performing covers of Americana and folk songs from both the UK and around the world.”
The usual festival season has been cancelled but that’s not stopping them from performing. Although the full band can’t make it, Ruth and Megan will do their best to fill the gap.
“We hope everyone will enjoy a lively performance about, life, death, travel, love, fun, breakups, getting back together and the occasional banjo joke!”

HOW HAS LOCKDOWN AFFECTED YOU?
Kieran Procter is one of our wonderful volunteers at Coda, having worked with our Beautiful Sounds sessions for adults with Learning Disabilities for several years.
He has been using isolation to get creative and asked people to send him images of how lockdown has affected them.
Using those messages, he has put together this brilliant music video. Well done Kieran!
