Nick Burton
Nick Burton

Nick began playing the guitar at age 11, and decided to pursue this passion through school, college and university.

During his time at Bournemouth & Poole College, Nick honed his performance skills through exams and regular gigging with numerous ensembles, going on to achieve a Triple Distinction (BTEC National Diploma).

Continuing his studies at Southampton Solent University (BA Hons Popular Music Performance), Nick was nominated for performer of the year and was handpicked on several occasions by staff members in need of musicianship for open day showcases and tribute night gigs.

While studying at University, Nick began composing for up and coming R&B/ Soul artist, SVGA. This gave way to many prestigious opportunities, such as a headline tour of Amsterdam and a recorded live session at Abbey Road studios in London (Studio 3 – Dark Side of the Moon Studio). Nick went on to achieve a First Class BA Hons in Popular Music Performance (1:1).

Nick was contacted by lecturer and Coda Staff member, Bob Burke, in regard to volunteering for the Rock & Pop Academy at Coda Music Centre, which he went on to do for 2 years in a row.

Nick has a deep passion for music, in particular guitar, extensive performance experience and over a decade of music education which is utilised in each and every one of his guitar lessons, personally tailored to suit every student.
