SUPPORT THE CODA BURSARY SCHEME
SUPPORT THE CODA BURSARY SCHEME

This term, we have received an unprecedented number of applications for bursaries for music activities at Coda Music Trust.

In order to support students who may have difficulty in affording the full cost of lessons or music therapy sessions, Coda Music Trust sets aside modest funds for a bursary scheme. This bursary scheme is subject to funds being available and subsidises the cost of music therapy and tuition for those in financial difficulty.

In previous terms, we have been able to award 50% bursaries to applicants, but as our funds are running low and demand has increased, this has reduced to 25% in many cases and we are, sadly, having to turn down some applicants.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This bursary scheme is funded in two ways: through the Coda Lucky Lottery Scheme and through donations.

CODA LOTTERY

Please consider joining our Lottery!

It costs just £2 per month (£24 to join the scheme for one year). You have the chance to win a cash prize each month and this is the primary way in which we fund our Bursaries. The more people who join the Lottery, the bigger the cash prizes each month and the more people we are able to support with Bursaries.

Pick up an application from Coda or download one from our website here.

Fill out and return the form, with your payment, and keep your fingers crossed for the result of the monthly draw – there could be a cheque on the way to you! Just one win will pay back your investment, but more importantly, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing someone will be benefitting from a Bursary thanks to you joining the scheme.

DONATE TO OUR BURSARY CAMPAIGN

We are asking you to help us reach more people, by boosting the fund. Your contribution, however small, will help Coda to enrich and change lives across Dorset, Hampshire and the New Forest.

Just £9 would pay for a subsidised music lesson. £25 would provide a Music Therapy session.

Your donation will help Coda to offer subsidised, affordable music therapy sessions or lessons to those in financial difficulty, making our services accessible for more of those who might benefit from them.

You can donate via an online payment (referencing ‘Bursary’) to

HSBC sort code 40 34 25 Account number 41168983

our donate via our Just Giving page on the link below:

Thank you, as always, for your support and generosity.

Just before you go… here’s a letter we received recently in response to Music Therapy sessions provided by Coda through the bursary scheme.  Let’s help more people like Dominik have access to music and reach their musical potential!
