Songwriting Toolbox Course

Fridays 10am – 11am  (from Friday 8th November)
Adults 16+
at Coda Music Centre
Cost £50 for 5 weeks
Limited places available

Following half term, we will be launching a brand new 5-week ‘Songwriting Toolbox’ course, led by Chris Hopgood.

The course will take place on a Friday  from Friday 8th November at Coda Music Centre. There are two courses running – the first from 10am – 11am and the second from 1.30pm – 2.30pm.

This 5 week course is designed to provide all the tools you need to start writing your own songs. It will provide hands-on support for anyone wishing to develop songwriting skills and learn more about the craft of composing.

This is not about writing the next hit song but more focused on giving you ideas and ‘tools’ to help you express yourself though songwriting.

The course will cover the types of song you may write, understanding chord structures, how to write lyrics, melodies and how modern technology also plays a part in the process.

You will be given exercises to test out different ways of writing a song to allow you to find the way that works for you.

It doesn’t matter what instrument you play, this is about creativity and making your music your own!

The cost is £50 for 5 weeks and the sessions will take place at Coda Music Centre.

Very limited places are available, so please contact Coda as soon as possible if you would like a place on this course: email contact@coda.org.uk or call 01425 276161
