£135 for a 12-week course

This 12 week course, led by Chris Hopgood, will look at music theory from a folk musicians perspective.

You will learn how to play in any key, how chords fit together, how rhythms work to change the feel of music and how to write music in the simplest way possible.

By the end of the course, you will have written your own tune in a traditional folk style and should walk away with a solid understanding of music theory that can be applied to any further learning or playing that you do.

Although this course is based around folk music, it is relevant for any musician (no matter what style of music you play) wanting to get to grips with musical theory using a more practical approach.
