Wednesdays 2pm – 3pm
Six week course
Delivered via Zoom
Suggested donation of £30

This Autumn, we are offering a brand new online course designed to build your confidence and re-ignite your energy and enthusiasm with Ukulele playing.

If you can already play the Ukulele (any level) but would like to brush-up your skills and reinvigorate your interest, then this course is for you.

This 6-week course will be led by Stuart Jebbitt and delivered via Zoom on Wednesdays from 2pm to 3pm

The aim of the course is to

– weed out bad playing habits
– increase your knowledge of the fret board &
– help you achieve smoother and more effective strumming

The course will provide an opportunity to cover aspects of playing that are difficult to cover in a normal group setting and will offer the advantage of being able to demonstrate techniques up-close.

Sessions will follow the following format:

Log in with the link provided (received when you sign-up for the course)

An intensive look at a particular aspect of playing (for approximately 30 minutes): Stuart will demonstrate and participants will receive a corresponding pdf file/worksheet (this section will be recorded so you can watch it again).

Strum-along with Stuart (1 or 2 songs – music to be provided – for approx 15 minutes)

Questions and chat for the final 15 mins

The Course will cover

Week 1 – Strum patterns & dynamics
Week 2 – Rock & Roll and hammering on the 6th
Week 3 – Moveable shapes and the chromatic scale
Week 4 – Finger picking patterns & songs
Week 5 – Blues sequences & soloing
Week 6 – Inversions and when to use them

If possible (and weather allows) we will also organise an outdoor picnic/meet-up to allow you all to play together as a group (details TBC).

These Zoom sessions are offered free of charge, so you will not receive an invoice, but we are asking for donations (the suggested donation for the six week course is £30) to Coda Music Trust’s Just Giving page to help cover our costs:

We look forward to welcoming you to sessions and reinvigorating your love for the Ukulele!
