Coda Jazz Orchestra

Saturdays, starting 28th April
2pm to 4pm
£80 for a 10 week course or £10 pay as you go

From the Summer Term, the Coda Jazz Orchestra will be run slightly differently – as a 10-week course, culminating in a performance at a local event.

We hope that everyone who currently participates in our Jazz orchestra sessions will continue but that we can encourage more people to join. There will be fewer sessions, but these will be focused specifically on learning repertoire for a performance.

If you play Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute, Piano, Guitar, Drums, Percussion, Trumpet, Trombone, Bass, Guitar or sing, you maybe interested in joining the new Coda Jazz Orchestra.

We will be meeting on Saturdays throughout term time between 2-4pm and we need you!

Led by Kyle Shenton & James Rawlinson, the band will be tackling a mixture of Jazz from the 1920s to the present day, which will then be performed at the end of the course to an audience at a local event (details TBC)

There will be opportunities to improve your sight-reading and improvising skills.

The band is be open to all ages and we would suggest a sight-reading level of Grade 4 and above – or a willingness to take the music away and work at it.

If you would like to try out or participate in our Jazz Orchestra, please contact Coda on 01425 276161 or email contact@coda.org.uk
