FUNDRAISE FOR CODA IN 2016
FUNDRAISE FOR CODA IN 2016

It’s a New Year and a time to look to the future! Many of us will be setting ourselves challenges for 2016 and if you have a specific objective this New Year and plan to raise some money for charity in the process, we would love you to consider Coda as your chosen charity.

Coda is a unique, award winning and innovative local charity which doesn’t only offer brilliant music tuition and choirs, ukulele bands and the like, but also reaches the most vulnerable people in our community; those with profound disabilities, at the end of their life, plagued by ill health, the elderly, and those in need. We try to help everyone through music.

Projects like Coda’s award winning Dementia Notes means we reach hundreds of older people in local care homes, using music to reduce loneliness and tackle some of the typical symptoms of dementia.

“I can’t find the words to express how precious these sessions are, I have seen such progress… it is lovely.”

And our work with special schools in Bournemouth and Poole including Linwood, Winchelsea and Springwood provide both Music Therapy and creative music workshops for young people, while our weekly Beautiful Sounds sessions reach over 50 learning disabled adults each week, providing a chance to sing and play music with friends and to express thoughts and feelings through music.

“The sessions were fantastic and the energy from the tutor towards the children was brilliant! The workshops and performances were hugely successful and enjoyable – everyone’s confidence increased. Great stuff!” Winchelsea School, Poole

However, finance is a very large obstacle to those in need, often preventing them from accessing our services. Coda is committed to reaching as many people as we are able – and in 2016, we would like to reach and help even more people.

Put very simply – we need your help for us to continue to deliver our work!

So whatever you’re planning – if you’re going to run a marathon, walk, skydive, climb, cycle or have a cake sale to raise money in 2016, then please consider Coda.

Your support is always very much appreciated. If you feel that you can help us in any way to continue our great work, then please get in touch.

If you would like to donate to Coda, we can promise that every penny is put to good use.
