Deborah has had a passion for music from an early age. Surrounded by music in her childhood, she formed a deep connection with both classical and popular music, training first as a classical flautist but always finding her own voice through singing. She moved to London to study music at city University where she gained a BSc Hons Degree in Music and broadened her horizons to include Far Eastern Music and Jazz.
Her career as a lead and backing vocalist has led her to work with many contemporary jazz and soul artists as both lead singer to Robert Mitchell’s Panacea and as an artist in her own right. She hs performed at several international jazz festivals including North Sea Jazz, Jazz A Vienne and the London Jazz Festival as well as touring nationally. As a recording artist Deborah has released several albums and featured on many more wit critically acclaimed groups and artists, gaining a reputation as one of the leading independent artists from the UK.
Since returning to Dorset, Deborah has re-joined the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and continues to tour and record worldwide as well as providing vocal coaching both pricately and for well established organisatons such as Coda, Aim, Youth Music and the Poole and Bournemouth Youth Services. Her approach draws upon her varied studio and live experience and focuses on confidence building alongside vocal technique and performance practice for both children and adults.
