Students are encouraged to develop a good playing style, a musical memory, and improvisation and composition skills. An appreciation of a broad range of music is acquired: traditional folk music, pop, classical and jazz.
Coda provides a range of performance opportunities suitable for beginners to advanced players including: Strings Party, Ready to Play concerts, Coda Chamber Ensemble (Grade 5 and above), combined Coda Choir and Orchestra concerts.
There are opportunities for taking external examinations at appropriate times.

Cello
Coda Music offers individual and group cello teaching to all children aged 5+ years and to adults. Within an inspiring social atmosphere students will follow a structured progressive programme, including exercises and position work. They will become acquainted with the cello repertoire as well as develop an artistic approach and a beautiful sound. There will also be preparation for performances, ensemble groups, and if appropriate, external exams.
The Coda Music Centre provides many opportunities for performance. The Coda Chamber Ensemble (Grade 5+) rehearses each Monday. All pupils are invited to play in Coda String evenings and at the Coda Summer Music Festival.
