Piano
Coda has a strong team of tutors for piano tuition who work with both children and adults. All ages and abilities are welcomed from beginners to advanced players. Piano is taught both individually and in groups and aims to cover the following: solo playing, ensemble playing, reading and rhythm games, music theory activities, ear training, informal creativity and writing music.
Individual tuition enables the tutor and pupil to work as they wish using their own preferred repertoire. Group piano lessons take place in Coda Musics Piano Suite and we use our own internally produced module system that includes well-known classics, folk tunes, blues, ragtime and plenty of original compositions. Many of these are played along to midi backing tracks. Coda Music encourages students to enter Trinity Guildhall Examinations if and when they feel ready and wish to do so. Coda also likes to give students occasional opportunities to perform to each other and to friends and parents.
The Piano Club
The Piano Club comprises of a range of courses designed for adults, with or without previous musical training, to play and read music comfortably at the piano. Beginners or Improvers develop technical and musical abilities within a relaxed and informal environment.
